Here’s an example of a frontend-customisable card product with all the options enabled. You can of course create cards in between these two, eg. with a selection of prices (and no custom value), and a custom message.

You can filter in both Orders and Customers pages, and if you’re running a multi-store setup you need to also filter by store (to make sure the card value is clear).

GiftEasy is smart enough to only select one customer even if you select multiple orders from the same person.

If you’re using HelloCustomer you can choose any of the granular notification preferences.

GiftEasy will trim the target group to respect those choices.

GiftEasy will send the emails out in a smart throttled way, lining up a few to send each minute.

If you’re using HelloCustomer you can also choose a specific email server to send these mass-created card emails from.

This can help deliverability, but is not required.

FAQ

Is this the best gift card extension for Magento 2?

Aside from the easily customisable card products, you can send unlimited gift cards via the massaction menu from Orders or Customers. The GiftEasy Magento gift card module is the perfect solution for adding gifting to your online store.  (So – Yes!)

Can I add predefined gift card product prices?

You can fix the card value, or let your customer choose from a range of predefined values or a custom amount within a range you can specify.

Can I create multiple gift cards?

You can create as many as you want in as many styles as you like.

Can I set the expiration period for the gift voucher codes?

You can optionally set an expiration date – both for frontend gift card products, and for backend admin mass-created cards.

Can customers use one gift card on multiple purchases?

Yes – each card is added as a balance to their account. They can redeem part of one, or combine multiple cards, as a discount to their order.

Can the customers apply gift card codes at the checkout?

Yes – they can add the card code in the Cart or Checkout, or via simply scanning a QR code or clicking a link. Once the gift card has been added to their account they can choose to use it on any future order.

How does the customer track whether the gift card is used or not?

They have a new section in their account profile to show un-redeemed gift cards, as well as the remaining balance on each one.

Can I deactivate a gift card?

All cards can be enabled/disabled by admin, in the new ‘issued gift cards’ page.

Can I enable custom prices for gift card products?

You can choose from fixed price per card, a range of prices for each card, or a custom amount (ie. selectable by the customer). The custom amount can also be within optional ranges that you specify.

Can GiftEasy help increase revenue?

If a customer applies a gift card, does that affect cart rules eg for shipping discounts?

No, it comes as a discount to the Grand Total, not as a reduction in the subtotal. If you have shipping price breaks it won’t affect it.

Can GiftEasy be easily customised?

Yes! Simple controls enable you and your customers to have maximum design freedom. Design options at a product page level, as well as general. You’re more likely to actually make cards, and your customers are more likely to create & buy them.

Can GiftEasy auto-expire cards after a specific time period?

Yes! Via an optional setting, you can set expiry time on a per-card basis. No more worries about a big backlog of unclaimed cards. And – you can also auto-send reminder emails to gift card receivers when it’s getting close to the expiry time.

Is billing easy?

Yes! This Magento extension is billed monthly or annually. If cancelled it will continue to work until the end of your paid period.
